Why we built Pro Se

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people file their own immigration applications — pro se, “for oneself.” It's completely allowed, and people do it successfully every day. What makes it hard isn't the law — it's the paperwork: long forms in English, scattered documents, and not knowing what evidence to gather or how to tell your story clearly.

Pro Se was built by Law Aid Management LLC, a Texas company that has helped applicants prepare immigration paperwork for years. We watched people pay thousands of dollars for what was, in many cases, careful organization: getting the right facts into the right boxes, writing an honest statement, and assembling proof.

So we taught software to do the organizing. Pro Se reads your documents, fills your forms, interviews you kindly in your own language, writes your statement in your own voice, and shows you exactly what evidence supports your case. You check everything, and you file it — because it's your application, and you're allowed to.

What we are — and what we're not

We are self-help document-preparation software. We help you organize your facts, prepare your forms, and present your own story.

We are not a law firm.Pro Se by Law Aid Management LLC does not give legal advice, does not represent you, and cannot tell you what to claim or predict your outcome. If your situation is complicated — criminal history, prior removal orders, missed deadlines — talking to a licensed immigration attorney is wise, and an independent attorney review of your completed file is available inside Pro Se as an optional add-on.
